Mentorship has the power to transform careers and build stronger communities.
At CRIEC, we recognize the transformative power of mentorship in shaping careers and fostering stronger communities. By becoming a mentor, you have the distinct opportunity to provide guidance, inspiration, and empowerment to internationally educated professionals as they navigate their career paths in Calgary. Your expertise and support can significantly impact their success and contribute to their professional growth.

At CRIEC, we bring 15 years of experience in bridging the gap between internationally trained professionals and meaningful career opportunities. With over a decade of experience, we’ve fostered partnerships and developed programs that empower newcomers to thrive in Calgary’s workforce.
Mentorship options at CRIEC are flexible, with models available for mentors with busy schedules, such as quick coffee chats or long-term commitments.
Mentors and mentees work together for three months, meeting on a schedule that works for them—whether that’s weekly, bi-weekly, in-person, or virtually.
These one-time meetings allow you to provide focused advice on career paths, interview prep, or any specific challenge a mentee might be facing.
Passionate about teaching? Some mentors lead workshops on Canadian workplace culture, job readiness, or regulatory processes.
Think of it like “speed mentoring.” These events let mentors meet several mentees for 10-15 minutes.
One mentor can support 2-6 mentees in group meetings, focusing on topics like networking, resume building, and interview preparation.
