At CRIEC, we work with employers large and small to connect them with International Talent that can help their business thrive.
A new Canadian study reiterates the value of these relationships, driving home the economic benefits of a diverse workplace. Hiring internationally trained professionals isn’t just a nice thing to do; it’s good for business in measurable ways.
“For every 1% increase in diversity, there is a corresponding 2.4% increase in revenue across 14 sectors of the Canadian economy,” according to study authors Bessma Momani and Jillian Stirk.
Consistent with previous research, this study identified a correlation between ethno-cultural diversity and increased productivity.
“We see this in Calgary all the time,” says CRIEC executive director Bruce Randall. “It pays to build relationships with internationally trained professionals — and we’re here to help organizations build those connections successfully.”
